Cold March Morning. (Pictures and Poem)..

Cold clear day,
Neither Spring nor Winter;

Matchwood, ash and embers
Spread like memories on melting snow

Early March Weather. Poem With Paintings. (Revised).

Is this rain or snow falling?
A dirty grey dampness descends from the clouds
Lazily drifting into my face,
A cold veil through which I peer
To try to make out the contours of the streets,
The bare trees that overhang broken city pavements.
People walk slowly from house to shop,
Then back again from shop to chilly semi.
They wear such thick bundles of drab winter clothing
They look like mobile parcels made from dark plastic
Or packets of unwashed wool.
My clothing is no better, but I am noticing as I walk
The small humps of sticky buds breaking the skin of branches,
And a solitary daffodil upright beside a wall.

Captive Tree.(Newley Completed Poem). Poem with Picture.

Captive tree
With outstretched branches
Desperately Pleading
                              Pleading
Pleading
To be set free from the manicured park
Back into wild
                         wild
                                  woods
Far from the curfew gates
And the rows of tidy houses.
But passers by don`t see her gestures
Nor heed the calls of her still quiet voice
Uplifted on the wind.
Her stillness means she is just a thing,
An object to be climbed,
An ornament to be looked at,
Or chisel an obscenity into.
